Hi, my name is Erin Wilson. I am 17 years old, and I have been playing tennis for 13 years. I have been a part of the Inspiring Children Foundation for seven years, and I can say the foundation and tennis academy have changed my life. One of the biggest things I'm learning by being around such incredible people is how to love and accept myself. Something I've struggled with is feeling like I have to be somebody to be happy. I have to have a test score, result or just something to be this incredible human being. On this journey, I'm starting to figure out what I'm searching for is within. My story lies deeper. Who I am is not the test score... The real question should be how hard are you working to become the best version of yourself? Is it all about you or are you leaving a small impact on others? When I focus on those two things, I feel a lot of joy inside. I feel like I'm improving 1%. It starts with the way you're talking to yourself and the amount of attention you're giving those thoughts. I'm learning to become self-confident and everyday creating an unreal story, not based off of a test score, but a story that sums up the work I’m putting in to be extraordinary. That's my goal. Some of my hobbies aside from tennis are spending time with my parents, photography, making music, listening to music, journaling and learning about the mind. Life can be a challenge, but it's always just an opportunity to grow every day!
